Gervonta “Tank” Davis versus Frank Martin, 12 rnds, for Davis’ WBA light weight title. Frank started off with a game plan for 5 rounds winning all 5 until Tank does what he do, finish downloading what his opponent does and take over knocking out Frank Martin in the 8th round. Frank was moving well in the beginning as the rounds progressed from 6, 7th round, Tank dominated Frank’s body and slowed him down trapping him on the ropes with the devastating KO.
David Benavidez versus Oleksandr Gvozdyk, 12 rounds, for vacant WBC interim Light Heavy Weight title. David Benavidez put on a masterful performance in his Light Heavy Weight debut. Still with his overly dominance at the super middle weight divison with his savvy skills and KO power, it didn’t move up with him to the light heavyweight class.
The resilience of Gvozdyk kept him in the fight. When David turned up Oleksander weathered the storm. Made it a fight but wasn’t enough to get the victory.
