In Boxing News Today:
Is Canelo afraid of the Mexican Monster?
Ok, Canelo has beat Jamie Munguia in a convincing fashion, showing the world he has the tools to beat a younger, taller, and skilled fighter. As I said in a previous post that 4th round proved what Canelo can do. Most people, clowns, casuals, and some of my fighters say that he better not fight like that against David Benavidez.
The boxing world via casual fans, clowns and knuckleheads are stirring up their narratives that Canelo is afraid or ducking the Mexican Monster David Benavidez, but his track record doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.
David Benavidez has only fought two notable names, and he has only defended his title once each time. He has only fought one champion Caleb Plant, and he couldn’t even knock him out. Additionally, he is flat-footed and leaves himself open more than Munguia does.
If Haney is accused of being overhyped, then the same applies to this Benavidez.
We’ll see how he does when Canelo finally gives him the offer to fight. Hell, Haney at least was an undisputed champion at one point.
