In Boxing News Today: Boxing vs MMA
With big MMA fights in America and boxing 5 vs 5 over in Saudi. It’s hard to say which sport I had really gained a lot of traction. In my opinion I believe boxing is catching up with MMA which was reigning for years in boxing decline.
Since the likes of Canelo, well his supposed ducking that the casual fans call it, Tank and his knock outs, The Japanese Monster Inoue with his KO power, Ryan Garcia’s antics and beating the cry baby Duo Bill and Devin Haney, Boots signing with DAZN, Charles Conwell coming off a 2 year hiatus, claressa Shields and her drama, Alycia bumgarner wanting to fight Shields, Haven Brady Jr rising up the ranks, and O’Shae Jones making her name in the women ranks. Plus much more boxing narratives that peak the casual interest but die hard fans want more quality fights.
Deontay Wilder just got KO’d in Saudi Arabia by Zhilei Zhang who was extremely toooooooo big for Wilder to handle. I believe the Fury fights took it out of him, just as those fights took it out of Fury.
MMA has it’s narratives yet I don’t know enough if the fighters or the narratives to speak on them. Here’s what I got for today’s MMA action,
