Evolution of a mad rapper!
Today’s rap is congested with a mix bag of good and bad. In my honest opinion more bad than good.
Yet, there are innovative styles that are catchy and there are some ridiculously borning styles too. Most of the time the ridiculously boring style is accomplished with a very hot beat.
It may be rare to find that good chemistry when it comes to artist and producer. Everything has to align correctly for the music to be a hit.
Old school days before the social media craze, rap artist had to grind hard, pound the pavement, gather a street team, burn CD’s and pass them out. If your music is no good, you will know if you’re hot or not. Word of mouth traveled like a pigeon sending a message.
Rappers today have the luxury of algorithms, online marketing, cyber street teams, and online fan base. Which all of that in itself is hard to build or it can be easy. You must have some sort of talent with some catchiness to your style.
