The Decade in Review…
2010: Inception of When the Bell Rings during the preproduction of the Spirit Awards. Worse case scenario of failed love happened at the end of this year. Past love at first sight, Trish who slipped away 20+ years prior to her return to my heart through social media.
2011: Met Bob Edwards, trained at SweetScience Boxing Gym, moved to Nola and met Henry Wade trained at Crescent City Boxing Gym, met Coach Spyder God of War boxing gym. Drama at CCB and issues with managers!
2012: My pro boxing debut, the finished the documentary. Missing being filmed, living in Harvey, and promoting when the bell rings.
- Missing Cali
- Living on the system
- Trish and I cat & mouse love
Tough boring summer.
Enjoying building with Trish.
Some distractions from my mission via my walk industry.
Social media was bane of my existence.
2013: Still having documentary withdrawals. Taking acting classes. Doing security at the country club.
2014: When the Bell Rings wins it’s world premier at the New Orleans Film Festival. Found out true lessons of love. Got on Grudge Match the movie. Did some commercials.
2015: Got custody of my son Deshaun. Epic fail NCIS New Orleans audition. My son Orland dies mysterously. Honored as WBC world champion and ambassador for peace. Lost contact with my sister after my son’s untimely death.
2016: Filmed my first speaking part on Same Kind of Different as Me. Met some cool people on social media via periscope and a defunct app too.
2017: Deshaun kicked out of high school due his personal issue. Moved to New Orleans at the New Orleans Boxing Club. Deshaun kicked out of Job Corps and moves with me at NOBC. Got married.
2018: An abundance of unnecessary drama. Witnessed Sean Hemphill pro debut. Was heading way making money at NOBC with great clients. There’s vibes of indifference and drama flowing around me which leads to me being removed from NOBC due to fabricated stories unbeknownst to my character. Had a monumential conversation.
2019: Moved to Toledo. Tried to restart my journey. An abundance of false promises and hope. And finalizing my autobiography. My temper gets tested weekly. And seeing a mental health therapist and shrink.
