Naughty Dog the developers of the hit game The Last of Us has came through with a TV series adaptation with HBO.
The Last of Us is about Joel and his daughter in the beginning of the pandemic that took place. After violently losing his daughter Joel and a woman name Tess make their way through the apocalyptic world doing what they have to do to survive, eventually forced to meet and take Ellie on a mission to a group called fireflies to save try to save the world.
Ellie is immune to the virus as Joel doesn’t believe at first. Over the 9 episode series just like the game itself, Joel builds a father daughter relationship with her.
Playing the game is outstanding, keeps you interested the entire time. It’s very violent for the most part but action packed. It was the reigning #1 sold game in history with multiple awards.
Now many video games were adapted to movies and or TV series, games like: Resident Evil, Uncharted, Need for Speed, The Hitman, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and etc. Those adaptations were ok but far from the game we liked. The latest resident evil stories were Ok, but still didn’t live up the hype. The worst game to movie in my opinion is the first Street Fighter, sheesh is all I have to say.
