Here’s why…

I come from a long line of hardships that some would never bounce back from. Some hardships that nearly took me to the thereafter at one point. Yet, I withstood the tests of time.

I box because it’s therapeutic for me. To the point if I die in the ring I just died in the ring. I’m good with it, because I died for something outside my wife and children I love.

Hardships that are overly insurmountable can make a person lose their way of humanity. Then again I know that certain hardships wouldn’t last forever, though the residual effect of the drama of my past…

Drama, hardship and so much pain…

  • Mama not wanting me to be a boxer. I ended up doing it anyway after she kicked me out.
  • Joined a gang, it was tough. Lost a lot of son called friends to bll my
  • Mama not letting me play football at one point (small) end up playing anyway later.
  • Being raped by my mother’s boyfriend.(Threatened to kill him and he left town)
  • My first love ran away
  • Being clipped in the arm in 1991
  • My 2nd love got murdered in front of me by her ex…
